With the addition of the NW Arkansas facility in 2008, Delta Group teamed up with RCAL Products, Inc. to offer custom design services to customers. By helping businesses streamline their development processes, RCAL delivers creative, cost-efficient solutions that satisfy market demands while exceeding quality expectations.  RCAL has extensive experience working with contract manufacturer's clients assisting them with updating existing designs, re-designing for ease of manufacturing, and creating new products.

Hardware Design capabilities include:

• Schematic Capture, Printed Circuit Board Layout, Gerber Modifications, Reverse Engineering.
• Microcontroller Design experience with ARM7 Cores, Microchip's family of 12F, 16F, 18F, Intel's 8051 series, Freescale's MC9S12, MC9S08, MC1321 (integrated ZigBee), MC68HC908, and Altera's 32-bit Softcore NIOS (embedded in FPGA).
• Microprocessor Design experience with Motorola 68K, Intel Celeron, Pentium, ST Microelectronics Single Chip PC Atlas.
• DSP and Specialty Processor experience with Texas Instruments TMS320, Philips Nexperia PNX1300 PNX1500, Micrel 505 900Mhz Wireless Chipset.
• Analog Experience with high speed A/Ds and D/As, Video A/Ds and D/As, Resistive Touch Screens, thermistors, thermocouples, Op-Amps, Analog Multiplexers, Linear and Switching Power Supplies, NTSC Video (Composite, Svideo, Component), HITAG and MYFARE RFID Card Readers.
• Digital Experience with FPGAs, SRAM, FIFOs, SDRAM and DDR memory interfacing, Digital Video input (BT.656), Video Scaling, LVDS, DVI, and HDMI interfaces, LCD Controllers, Touch Screen Controller, RS232, RS485, USB, Optocouplers, TRIACs, Encoders, PWM.

• Embedded firmware development in assembly language or C as needed for program size and/or speed constraints.
• PC program development in Visual C++ or Borland C++, with command-line or graphical user interfaces (GUI) as desired. Standalone executables or dynamically linked libraries (DLL).
• Careful attention to robust software architectures to reduce time-to-market, eliminate unnecessary complexity and provide an evolution path for adding or modifying features.
• Digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms including FIR and IIR filtering, interpolation, extrapolation, curve-fitting, fast Fourier and Hadamard transformations, correlations, adaptive channel estimation, channel coding for error detection and error correction, encryption, spread-spectrum techniques, etc.
• Industry standard and custom wireless and serial communication protocols that are efficient in bandwidth, reliable in noisy environments, and protected against casual interception. Experience with numerous RS232 and RS485 interfaces, TCP/IP, 802.15.4 (Zigbee), MDB, etc.

• Design plastic enclosures, and provide prototype SLAs.
• Design sheet metal enclosures, and provide prototypes with custom silk screening and painting
• Custom overlays and membrane keypads with custom artwork to customer specifications
